Each year, 3 MILLION CHILDREN IN THE U.S. ARE EXPOSED TO VIOLENCE BY FAMILY MEMBERS AGAINST THEIR MOTHERS or female caretakers. These children are often at higher risk of being abused by the same perpetrator.

Relationship abuse is a pattern of power and control used against an intimate partner.
It can include physical, emotional, verbal and economic abuse.
Partner abuse affects people regardless of their race, age, sexual orientation, religion or gender.

live aware and help

live aware: Share your knowledge, support others and take action.
change the message: Approach a friend in an understanding, non-blaming way.
prevent abuse: Tell her that she is not alone and you are there to support her if she wants help. Offer her resources so she may speak to a counselor who can provide her with options and safety planning.
